The Spirit of the Agency

See that guy in the middle at one of our team’s social events?
The one in the black shirt?

That’s Daniel Uhorchuk. Daniel started his career jumping out of airplanes for the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge, he applied to Virginia Commonwealth University. He went on to earn his degree in graphic design from its top-rated arts school, then got a job as a studio artist at a small print production house in Richmond. While there, he started to earn a reputation as a details guy. The kind of guy with an eye that could find the smallest flaw on a press sheet, or scan through a dozen Photoshop layers in a matter of minutes to find the one that’s not quite set up properly in the file.

His special skill for being both talented and thorough was backed by a work ethic like his colleagues had never seen. He’d finish his assignments, then walk from desk to desk asking his coworkers if and how he could help them. And those conversations? They usually happened at about 5:30 every night…because, well, that’s the kind of guy Daniel is. Always working hard. Always wanting to help. Always willing to go above and beyond to make sure things are done right. That’s why we hired him twelve years ago, and that’s why today he leads all design and print production for the agency.

Elevation is a team of Daniels.

No, not all of us used to jump out of planes—but we have champion tennis players, garage band members, bourbon lovers, rugby and polo players, outdoors enthusiasts, nationally-recognized painters, hack golfers, scratch golfers, gourmet cooks and many more who all share our founder’s naïve belief that if we are thoughtful, work really hard, and always do our very best, the rest will take care of itself.

It’s a naivety that’s proven to work better than countless MBA-written business plans. Seems many clients out there appreciate having Daniels by their side.
