Elevation has been the marketing partner for Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden for more than fourteen years. In fact, one of our first projects for the client was to develop its logo and graphic identity, which featured the iconic conservatory building.
Thanks in part to a long and fruitful marketing partnership, Lewis Ginter has grown to become one of the region’s most-visited tourist attractions. And with that growth has come change, as new leadership is taking the Garden to exciting new places. Indeed, the time was right to transition the Garden identity to better reflect the Lewis Ginter of today—and tomorrow.
Our rebranding package for Lewis Ginter strikes the balance between the beauty of nature and the boldness of a nonprofit on the move. We developed a typographical approach to the logo which simplifies its usage in digital spaces and allows for easier sub-branding of the Garden’s many special events. We replaced the iconic conservatory with imagery that is more organic and more intrinsically human—a series of icons in a watercolor style, created especially for Lewis Ginter by Elevation. These illustrations can be used to communicate the many elements visitors can experience at the Garden, from flowers and plants to water, bugs and more. We’ve applied the new graphic identity to all of the Garden’s many communication materials, including the new website we developed for Lewis Ginter and advertising materials for all upcoming events. Onsite signage and other items will be transitioning to the new brand over the course of 2018.
It’s a fresh, modern approach for a client all of us at Elevation adore.
